In today’s video I’ll be discussing the cameras and lenses that I am using for this year’s HS Football Photo Project.
Last year I used the Sony a6000 and the 70-200 f4G OSS. My second camera was the a7 (original) and the 35 f2.8 FE Zeiss.
Between the end of last season and the start of this football season, Sony launched a lot of new product and I am using a lot of it.
Including the a7R II, the 16-35 f4, 35 1.4 FE Zeiss, 85 1.8 Zeiss Batis, and the 70-200 f4 G OSS (as I did last season). I’m also using the a6000 and the 35 f2.8. The 35 2.8 is usually paired with the a7 II as my quick grab camera in case a play happens close by.
For that camera, I have the AF set to work with the shutter release (which is different from how I usually configure the cameras) — I do this so that I can pick up the camera and fire.
