In today’s video I’ll be discussing which 35mm focal length lens you might want to consider for your Sony mirrorless cameras. Sony upped it’s game in the past few months releasing the wonderful 35mm f1.4 FE Zeiss lens. It’s a pro lens, through and through and makes a wonderful complement to the very compact 35mm f2.8 FE Zeiss lens that made its appearance with the first Sony a7 camera.
There are other options as well, including adapting Sony A mount lenses using the LA-EA3 (a7R II camera) or LA-EA4 adapters (non a7R II cameras). There are Metabones and their knock off adapters that will allow users to place Canon EF lenses on your Sony body. Some lenses work better than others.
And finally there are very inexpensive adapters available on Amazon and Ebay that allow for the use of 30-40 year old lenses (or older) on a modern Sony camera.
With all these choices, it’s really up to you, your budget and your needs to figure out what is the perfect 35mm lens for your needs.
